The new version of Windows caused problems for many users as Windows 8.1 is not properly detecting the drivers of some Wi-Fi cards or simply presents problems "limited connection" in networks operating properly.

Detecting problems drivers
The main cause of the problems is that the drivers that previously worked correctly in Windows 7 or Windows 8 began to present problems of inconsistency and having no Internet connection is impossible update to a newer version, compatible with Windows 8.1.

To fix this, we need to get the name of the manufacturer and model of the Wi-Fi card. If you have a notebook, you can find on the page of your laptop manufacturer's technical specifications, there you will find the model of the network card. If your computer is kind of tower do not place yourself or just the model in the manufacturer's website, you can download the "Speccy" program on a computer with Internet and pass it through a flash drive in your machine with problems, this program will show you the model the Wi-Fi card.

Once we have that data, is a matter of going to the website of the card manufacturer and look for the latest driver, downloaded it and had problems with the machine and the install should already solved the problem.

If the driver does not appear
If our problem is that we can not install any driver directly because the driver is not shown on our team, the steps are:

1-Go to the Windows Start menu and type "Device Manager", click on it.
2-Search there any paragraph if there is a driver that says "Unknown driver" or has an alert symbol or "?".
3-Give right click, choose update driver software, choose the second option and search for the driver you downloaded and select it.
4-This should fix the problem, if it says you are unable to install, then most likely there is a hardware failure, so it would be necessary to bring the computer in for servicing.

how to Solve limited connection in Windows 8.1

In the event that there is such a problem, the first thing to do is restart your Wi-Fi router, if one also have ADSL, you must restart both. If the problem persists, then you have to give right-click the icon and choose Wi-Fi troubleshooting option.

Another way is to set a static IP address, which can be done by accessing the Control Panel, Network and Internet, Network and Sharing Center Resources. There is no need to click on the Wi-Fi connection, go to properties and then to Internet Protocol version 4 Select the option to enter your own IP and put one that is in the range of our network.

If desired, you can also enter the DNS of Google, ensuring faster when surfing the Internet among other advantages, these DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 are.

If none of the above forms served to fix the problem, then you should connect the computer to the network via ethernet cable and install updates from Windows Update, and most likely some of these updates correct the problem.
