When you install some programs on Linux, we can find the surprise that after installation, the application will not start. A first step in making a diagnosis is through a terminal launch the executable and see if it returns any type of error.
This is what happened to me when installing ISOPLEX (and some users also been reported with the installation of Popcorn Time). After installation, I booted and tried by terminal, the error back at me was:
|
error while loading shared libraries:
libudev.so.0:
cannot open shared object file:
No such file or directory
|
To solve the problem, you simply have to create a symbolic link with the following command:
|
sudo ln -s /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/
libudev.so.1 /usr/lib/libudev.so.0
|
And presto !, you can already start the application without problems.
Greetings!
